Effective: February 1, 2024
ASICS websites, online services, and mobile applications (collectively the "Services") use cookies, pixel tags, scripts and similar tracking technologies (collectively referred to as "cookies"), some of which are provided by third parties, to operate and improve our Services, enable social media and other features, and support our advertising and marketing efforts, as well as to enable us and these third parties to collect user data, communications, content and browsing information, and record user sessions and interactions with our Services. We and these third parties use the information collected to analyze and improve performance, understand more about users and their interactions with our Services, provide personalized experiences, and reach users with more relevant content and ads on our Sites (defined below) and Services, and across third party sites. These third parties may also combine the information about you that they collect through our Services, with information that they collect about you (including browsing, usage data and activity information) from third party sites, services and sources. They may use this information, for example, to build a profile of your interests, measure ad campaigns and services, and show you relevant advertising on our Services and across third party sites and services.
This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") provides you with information about the cookies that ASICS, our service providers, and third parties use, the purposes for using them, and how you can manage your cookie preferences for the Services.
Scope. This Policy applies to the ASICS Services that link to this Policy, including www.asics.com, www.ontisukatiger.com, www.runkeeper.com, and studio.asics.com (each a "Site" and collectively, the "Sites"). Please note: if you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, please refer to our European Cookie Policy, not this Policy.
For information about how ASICS collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information, please visit our Privacy Policy.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Browser (HTTP) Cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred to your web browser through our Sites. Cookies allow us to track and record certain user information, such as to recognize whether you have visited our Sites and Services before and may store user preferences and other information. Cookies also can record events related to your use and activity on our Sites and Services and, in some cases third party sites and services. The information recorded may include, for example, the pages and products viewed by you, how you navigate through our Sites, your purchase history, date and time of browsing, and your communications or content typed into webforms, chat boxes or search queries. Cookies also can record information related to your device (e.g., browser type, device type, operating system, version, and IP address) and events relating to ad serving activity, such as the number of ads displayed on your device, and ads clicked by you.
Pixel tags. A pixel tag (also referred to as web beacon) is a small string of software code that represents a graphic image request on a web page or email. There may or may not be a visible graphic image associated with the pixel tag or web beacon, and often the image is designed to blend into the background of a web page or email. Pixels can be embedded in a web page or in an email for purposes such as traffic reporting, unique visitor counts, advertising auditing and reporting, as well as to determine whether a recipient has opened a particular email sent by ASICS.
HOW DO THE SERVICES USE COOKIES?
We use the following categories of cookies on our Sites and Services:
1. FUNCTIONAL AND NECESSARY
We use Functional and Necessary cookies to ensure that the Sites and Services function properly and securely, to prevent fraud and misuse, and to enable certain functionality. Some of these cookies are necessary to the ongoing operation of the Sites and Services, meaning a Site won’t function properly or at all without them. For example, some Functional and Necessary cookies are used for load balancing and traffic distribution/routing and to optimize page and content loading on our Sites. Functional and Necessary cookies also include cookies that enable us to secure the Sites and Services (e.g., to detect and block bot activity and other malicious traffic, prevent Denial of Service (DDOS) attacks, detect bugs and errors, and securely process transactions), as well as cookies that we use to detect and prevent fraud and misuse (e.g., to detect and block suspicious logins and fraudulent transactions). In addition, some Functional and Necessary cookies enable certain key site functionality (e.g., account logins, adding items to your shopping cart, submitting webforms, and checking out with Apple Pay, PayPal, and other third party payment services).
Given the important role these cookies play, Functional and Necessary cookies are set to “always active” on our Sites, which means that you cannot “opt out” of or turn them off by adjusting your cookie settings through the Privacy Preference Center on our Sites. You may be able to block or delete Functional and Necessary cookies through your browser settings (see below for more information). However, if you do so, the Sites and Services will not operate properly, and certain features and content may be unavailable or non-operational.
2. PERFORMANCE AND ANALYTICS
Performance and Analytics cookies allow us to collect, measure and analyze audience, activity and usage information about the Sites and Services, so we can evaluate and improve the performance of our Sites and Services. For example, Performance and Analytics cookies may provide us with insights on which pages are the most and least popular and which pages are the most and least popular and how users move around our Sites and Services. They also allow us to remember preferences and settings you have selected and help us identify issues users face on our Sites and Services.
3. TARGETING, MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA
Targeting, Marketing and Social Media cookies may be set by us or by third party ad companies and social media networks. These cookies allow us and third parties to, among other things, make your user experience more personal, reach you with more relevant ads, and measure and improve ad campaigns. These third parties may also combine the information about you that they collect through our Sites and Services, with information that they collect about you (including browsing, search history, usage data, content and activity information) from third party sites, services and sources, which they may use, for example, to build a profile of your interests, show you relevant advertising on our Sites and across third party sites and services, and measure and improve ad campaigns and services.
Targeting, Marketing, & Social Media cookies also include cookies that enable social media and other features on our Sites and Services, including the possibility to connect you to your social networks (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and LinkedIn) and share content from our Sites or Services through social media.
If you do not allow Targeting, Marketing and Social Media cookies, you will still receive ads from us, but they will be less relevant and tailored to your interests, and certain social media features will not be available within our Sites and Services.
HOW CAN I MANAGE MY PREFERENCES?
You have several choices for managing your cookie preferences for our Sites and Services. However, opting out of certain types of cookies may affect the functionality of our Sites and Services and may prevent you from being able to access certain features.
Please note that most of the below options are browser and device specific. So, when you access one of our Sites or our Services from a different device or browser, you will have to apply your settings for each browser and device you use to visit that Site or access the Services.
Site Cookie Preferences. You may opt out of most cookies on our Sites (other than Functional and Necessary cookies) by adjusting your browser’s cookie preferences for our Sites, in our Privacy Preference Center. You can access the Privacy Preference Center, and review and update your cookie preferences for one our Sites, by using the "Manage Cookie Preferences" link, or the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link for California users, in the footer of that Site.
Universal Browser Privacy Signals. If one of our Sites recognizes that your browser is transmitting here (“GPC”) signal when you come to that Site, we will opt your browser out of Targeting, Marketing and Social Media cookies on that Site. More Information about GPC signals is available here.
Our Sites do not currently recognize or respond to browser "do not track" signals.
Browser Settings. You can also change your browser settings so that you receive a warning before certain cookies are stored and adjust your settings so that your browser refuses most cookies or only certain cookies from third parties. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored. However, if you take this approach, it may override choices you may have made in our Privacy Preference Center or with third parties. Browser settings do not affect mobile applications.
The procedures for changing your browser settings for cookies differ from browser to browser. If necessary, use the help function on your browser or click on one of the links below to go directly to the user manual for your browser:
Mobile Devices. If you access the Sites or Services from an Android or iOS mobile device, you can also set certain device privacy and advertising preferences, through the settings menu for your device. For example, iOS users can turn off cross-site tracking for the Safari browser and choose whether or not to allow mobile applications to request to track you. You can find more information on the privacy settings for your device at:
Industry Ad Choice Tools. As noted above, our Services may include cookies that are provided by third parties and enable these third parties to collect your data over time and across unaffiliated websites and mobile applications to better gauge your interests and serve you more relevant ads, so-called "interest-based advertising." For example, we and third parties (such as ad networks and other advertising companies) may use the fact that you visited our Services and have interest in particular ASICS products to target relevant online ads for ASICS or other products to you on non-ASICS websites and mobile applications.
You may opt out of interest-based advertising by participating third party ad companies by using the AdChoices industry opt-out tools, as described below.
Please note that these industry opt-out tools and programs are not operated by ASICS, and we are not responsible for their completeness, accuracy or effectiveness. Please note that the opt out will apply only to the specific browser or device from which you opt out, and therefore you will need to opt out separately on all of your browsers and devices. If you delete or reset your cookies or mobile identifiers, change browsers or use a different device, any opt-out cookie or tool may no longer work, and you will need to opt out again. In addition, even if you opt-out of interest-based advertising by a third party, you will still see ads from us, but the ads will be less relevant to you and your interests.
Keep in mind that most of the above preferences and choices are device specific. So, if you use multiple devices, you should review and adjust the settings for each according to your preferences.

We may change this Policy from time to time by posting the updated version of the Policy on the Sites and Services. Any changes will take effect on the "Last Effective" date posted at the top of this Policy. We encourage you to visit frequently to stay informed about how we use cookies.
